Signs + Wonders is my first paired-image series, initiated in 1995. The pairings are based on thematic and conceptual relationships between the images.

 

The pairings were initially done for the practical purpose of two-up digital proofing, but these accidental pairings began to suggest possibilities for an intentional process. I eventually grouped the pairings into a number of sets including Symbols and Semiotics, Art for Art's Sake, Domestic Pleasures, Urban Gardens and others.

 

I continued to add pairs to the series until 2013, when I exhibited a selection from the series at O.K. Harris Works of Art.
